Chamber Marks Grand Opening

On Wednesday, July 27^th the Chamber had the official Grand Opening of the new office.  The festivities got underway at 4:00pm complete with Town Crier, Bill Knepp announcing everyone’s arrival. The event was complete with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 6:15 .  There were some new faces in attendance as well as many of the city and state officials. Everyone enjoyed meeting new people, renewing old friendships and eating delicious food. The Chamber would like to thank all that attended in support of the chamber.

By Golly’s Luncheon

July 20^th was the date of the By Golly’s Luncheon.  70+ attended and enjoyed great food and networking.  Cathy Pitman, owner of By Golly’s, and her staff worked hard to ensure all were served in a timely manner.  Thanks Cathy and all that attended.

Fall Classic Coming Up

Mark you calendars.  The Fall Classic is coming October 10^th and it will be held at Hickory Woods this year.  This is our first outing at Hickory and we plan to make it a great one. Get your foursome together and join the fun.  If you can’t play in the outing we will be hosting an after hours get together at the golf course starting about 5:00pm .

C.O.V.E.R Awards Dinner

Our annual C.O.V.E.R. Awards Dinner will be held at RSVP, Wednesday, October 26^th.

We will be calling for nominations for Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, and Volunteer/Service Person of the Year and Humanitarian of the Year.  There are some very deserving businesses and people in our area so be ready with your nominations. 

Tailgate Party

The Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce and Milford Exempted School District will host the 8^th annual Tailgate Party, Friday, September 30th preceding the 7:30pm football game Milford vs. Lakota West at the Football Stadium Area, behind the Junior High School.

Here is an opportunity to find out how you can join our Education Committee in assisting the area businesses in binding together with our local schools to promote better opportunities for our students.  Bring your business cards to exchange and enjoy a picnic supper.  See you there!!

Spotlight on:  Darrell Baumann

Darrell is the Treasurer of the Chamber and has been for several years.  His real day job is with National Bank and Trust.  His title is Vice President and Southern Regional Manager and is responsible for the day to day operation of Milford , Batavia , Owensville, Mason, Sardinia , West Union , Georgetown and Mt. Orab branches.  He logs many miles weekly yet still finds time to keep the books of the Chamber up to date. 

Darrell is also a big part of Frontier Days.  He is in charge of the getting the vendors and oversees the booths the entire four days.

He is married to Chris, who has also helped out the Chamber whenever needed, and has lived in Miami Township for many years.

We are fortunate to have such a dedicated person as an Executive Officer and Director of the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce.
