MMTCC Director Awarded 2004 Orpha Gatch   

The Clermont County League of Women Voters, 2004 Orpha Gatch Citizenship Award was presented to Chamber Board Director Karen Jessee.  Karen has a knack of bringing together people of diverse interests and helping them establish common goals and a means to reach them.

Karen is tireless in her efforts to make our community a better place to live.  She demonstrates her theme of “we can fix that” in every task she undertakes.   Her compassion for senior citizens helped her develop a committee of 70 plus volunteers countywide and 45 agencies thus Super Senior Saturday was born and is growing each year under her leadership.   She is active in the MEVSD Partners in Education program and helps to organize the MEVSD Annual Back to School Extravaganza.  Karen Co-Chairs MMTCC’s Educational Committee and is actively involved in many others.     Karen’s signature thank you always includes “we did” never “I did”.  Congratulations Karen!!

Meet the Candidates

The Milford Miami Twp Chamber and the Clermont County League of Women Voters are pleased to announce “Candidates’ Night 2004”, Wednesday, October 13^th in the Milford Firefighter’s Community Hall, 1005 Lila Avenue (Milford Shopping Center), Milford, OH.  At 6:30pm there will be a briefing by the moderator, with presentations beginning at 7:00pm.

Candidates running for the 14^th District State Senate seat, the 66^th District State Representative seat, Clermont County (C.C.) Judge of Court-Common Pleas, C.C. Judge of Court-Common Pleas (Domestic), C.C. Commissioner, C.C. Clerk of Courts-Common Pleas,  and State School Board – 10^th District, and a representative from the Milford Community Fire Dept.– Replacement 5.3 Mills – 5 Years Fire Protection and Miami Township – Renewal 1.5 Mills – Continuing Time – Acquisition, Development and Maintenance of Park Land.

Please mark your calendar to attend this Candidates’ Night as we give you an opportunity to hear from the candidates seeking election on November 2nd.  Each candidate will have one minute to make an opening statement.  After the opening statements the Moderator will proceed with questions from the audience.

At the conclusion of the evening members of the audience will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the candidates.

The entire presentation will be taped and rebroadcast on the public access channels in Clermont County.  Please check your local listings for time of replay.

MILFORD, OH – November 3, 2003 – Milford Miami Township Chamber is celebrating the holidays by hosting the 12^th Annual  Taste of Christmas Open House.  This free, family event will be held on Wednesday, December 3, from 5:00—8:00pm at the Milford Firefighter’s Community Hall, 1005 Lila Avenue (Milford Shopping Center, entrance beside Milford Greenhouse). “This event was started as a thank you for chamber members and the community.  This year’s event will be especially exciting with great food, holiday cheer, entertainment, door prizes and the Silent Auction benefiting the Mary Ann Partin Scholarship Fund!” said Chamber Board President Jean Ackermann.
