In 2007 the Chamber is proud to honor Joe Davis of Davis Electronics and Davis Trains, 217 Main St., Milford with a Lifetime Achievement Award.  Joe has been a lifelong Milford resident and opened Davis Electronics after graduating from the Univ. of Cincinnati.  He moved his business to Main St. in 1960 and added Davis Trains.  Joe is known throughout the country for his knowledge and repair skills of model trains. In addition, the Chamber will recognize two area businesses with Investing in our Community Award.  These awards will go to Carpetland/Carpet One, 920 Lila Ave. and Serendipity Salon and Spa, 1265 Woodville Pk.  Both businesses took existing buildings and by remodeling have created extraordinary streetscapes for the betterment of their business and our community.

Volunteer/Service Person of the Year: Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship Volunteers, Marilou Coldewey, Gary Knepp, Tom Rocklin, and The Mary Maguire Foundation Family.

Feature Speaker this year is MJ Gilhooley

She will speak on "The Power of Publicity".  MJ Gilhooley, MA runs Gilhoooley Consulting Inc. out of Milford, Ohio. When she is not speaking or running seminars, she juggles two young boys and a busy PR marketing agency!

After living in LA for 24 years, producing network television, obtaining a Masters Degree in Psychology, and working with top PR firms (while creating programs for homeless and high risk youth) , MJ now helps grow several businesses and industries from her Milford based office. She has published hundreds of articles in numerous academic and industry trades, helping firms grow to a new potential. Her group develops creative integrated client materials, sales curriculum, SEO, web maps, ad design and media buys with a core competency of Public Relations.
