April 23 event to celebrate education and honor our Educators, Retirees, and Scholarship recipients from Milford Schools, Live Oaks Career Development Campus, St. Andrew, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Milford Christian Academy.

 

The Milford Miami Township Chamber is happy to announce the 2008 Dinner of Excellence.  The event will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 5:30—8:30 p.m. at the Oasis Conference Center, 902 Loveland-Miamiville Rd., Loveland, OH. Cost for chamber member is $32.50 per person, $42.50 non member and $325.00 for a table of nine. Corporate Sponsors include:  Donovan Donohoo Jr. & Assoc., Duke Energy, Fifth Third Bank, Kroger, Lykins Companies, Miami Township, National Bank and Trust, National City Bank, PNC Bank, City of Milford, Beach Water Park, and UC Clermont College.

 

Principals from each school nominate a teacher for the Educator of the Year. The nominations are: Vicky Pielsticker, Boyd E. Smith Elem., Dr. Jill Chin, Principal; Ginny Gross, Pattison Elem., Gregg Curless, Principal; Randall Vaughan, Milford High School, Dr. Ray Bauer, Principal; Kim Ragle, Milford Christian Academy, David Williamson, Principal; Robert Calabrese, Live Oaks Career Campus, Daniel Cox, Principal; Joanne Roberts, McCormick Elem., Donald Baker, Principal; Patrick Powers, SASEAS-Seton Campus, Donna Beebe, Principal; Hala Charles, Meadowview Elem., Tony Dunn, Principal; Debby Hall, Mulberry Elem., Gary Schulte, Principal; Melissa McGahan, Seipelt Elem., Melissa Borger, Principal and Jennifer Bruce, Milford Jr. High School, Kelli Ellison, Principal.  The Educator of the Year is selected by a committee made up of area business people and retired teachers.  In addition the Chamber honors all retirees of the schools.  A business is also named as recipient of the Don and Jean Ackermann Award for their involvement in Partners in Education (PIE). bridging business with education.

 

Also on the agenda is the awarding of ten scholarships from the chamber, area businesses and individuals.
