Taste of Christmas   Wednesday, December 6, 2006 - Recap

Wednesday, December 6th, the Chamber hosted the 15th Annual Taste of Christmas.  More than 450 people attended.  The crowd was treated to great food from 20 some vendors, entertainment by the Milford High School Show Choir and Frye Entertainment.  This event benefits the Mary Ann Partin Scholarship Fund.  Mary Ann’s daughters, Jennifer Partin and Julie Partin-Otto attended  “The (Taste of Christmas) is a reflection of her dedication to the community—this is why she loved Milford and Miami Township,” said Partin-Otto. “To see the businesses turn out year after year is a testament to what she and the chamber stand for”, Jennifer said.  An area high school senior is awarded a scholarship at the chamber’s spring dinner.  All of the money taken in during this event goes toward the scholarship fund.

The food vendors included: Busken Bakery, CC Safe Committee, Chipolte, Comfort Catering, Demeo’s Pasta & Grill, Fred’s Old Tyme Cakes, Geno’s Bar-Be-Que, Jerry’s Cheesecakes, Kitchen Cuisine, Lehr’s Market, Milford Dairy Queen, Milford Skyline, Milford Subway, Panera Bread, Quaker Steak & Lube, Subway-Wards Corner, Texas Roadhouse and the Main Cup.  GREAT FOOD, THANKS!!!

Several area florists contributed beautiful center pieces that were raffled off throughout the evening.  They include: Expressions By Elizabeth, Hermann’s Florist, Kroger, LTD Landscaping, Milford Greenhouse (our large Christmas tree), and The Lavender Stick Florist. THANKS TO ALL!!!

This committee says a very special THANKS to Milford Community Fire Department for donating the hall and helping set up and tear down.  Their help makes everything run smoothly.  They are truly dedicated to their community.  Another special THANKS  to Ms. Lynn Blake, Director and the Milford High School Show Choir.  They were very professional and well mannered.  They truly enjoy performing.  Last but not least the committee wants to thank Jon Frye of Frye Entertainment.  Jon kept us in Christmas music and is just starting out as a DJ.
